Born and raised in a small town in Ukraine, Vann Essa discovered electronic music in 2010, developing a deep passion for its rhythms and emotional depth. At 16, she moved to Kharkiv, where she immersed herself in the music scene, exploring different genres and refining her musical taste. Her journey as a DJ began in 2023, after relocating to San Francisco, where she decided to turn her passion into a profession. Despite the challenges of moving to a new country, she quickly became part of the local scene, performing at Public Works, Halcyon, Madarae, Monarch, Bergerac, and Chotto Matte, as well as at Burning Man. Vann Essa’s sound is a fusion of Afro House, Deep House, and Progressive House, blending hypnotic rhythms, organic grooves, and emotional depth to create immersive musical experiences.
