A first generation Xicana. Goes by the artist name Vales Madre. Artistically, this name not only defines her but shows the kind of art she chooses to do which is everything and anything she wants. Not limiting herself to what she chooses to say or create. Born and raised in Chicago's southwest side neighborhood of Pilsen. The community is a foundation of her creative process with experiences that deeply affected how and what she created by giving her the drive to be passionate about her community. Her journey with djing began at 15 years old. Artistically developing as a way of processing the traumas she experienced first hand. Using Djing as a way to survive as a teenager, helping her pay rent after leaving her home at 17. She created her own party production and DJ duo with friends. Throwing parties / djing all over the Southside of Chicago from 2009-2011. After taking a much needed break from Djing music she just regained her passion and love for it during the year of 2020. Currently evolved as a musician after releasing her own music, Stolen Phone, Lost Keys [EP].
