Amsterdam based Valerio Sinatra, originally from Italy, soon became a well-known figure in the local electronic scene in Melbourne. Running his ‘inform-ass versus’ parties and involvement with several locally based clubs and crews, he was moving up the ranks quickly. With his diverse sounds and taste for a sweet kind of sonic spectrum of music genres, Valerio tends to cater something fresh for every party. Going to SAE Amsterdam, he found his way in the Amsterdam Techno scene. Working at Minitech Recordings and as Resident DJ at NDSM Sessions he already scored a booking for ADE 2019. Valerio is a true musical virtuoso, weaving together genres ranging from Techno and Electro to whatever turns his attention to behind the turntables. He transforms the dancefloor into a funky, bouncy, mysterious landscape of sounds that demands dancers to explore and move about freely. Having started out at the age of 14, DJing comes naturally to him. Clubs picked up Valerio’s beats at 16 years of age, booking him for residencies and nights in some of Rome’s biggest venues. Working as a sound technician at Radio Azzura further enhanced is sharp ear for sounds, shaping him into the multidimensional musical maestro which you can still hear and feel in his music. Having played various vinyl and live sets, Valerio began to produce live synth and drum machines as well. In a three-year trip, Melbourne called and Valerio started a new successful project. After a few sets for radio shows and guest sets on KISS FM, the project quickly attracted dancers and electronic music enthusiasts all around the city. Valerio ran his own Versus nights with Tech House and Techno as well as organizing parties at Royal Melbourne Hotel, Brown Alley, La Di Da. He also was given the tremendous opportunity to play in some of the biggest events in 2015 with Funf Touring in Melbourne at OH YES OH YES! (with Carl Cox), COCOON (with Sven Vath, Seth Troxler, Green Velvet, Art Department and Apollonia), Future Music Festival 2015, Darkbeat and Funf Touring (with Fritz Kalkbrenner, Martin Buttrich, Audiofly, Blond:ish, Guy J and many more) and 2 main stage presence in 2 of the biggest and most known Australian festivals (earthcore in 2015 and Carl Cox’s festival in 2017). His touring life took place in the most well-known venue in Australia supporting several international acts and Thailand in 2015 as well. Supporting Roles Valerio played many supporting roles with some of the best artists in the industry like Sam Paganini, Luigi Madonna, Enrico Sangiuliano, Markantonio, DJ RALF, Hobo, Timo Maas, Julian Jewell, Raffaele Attanasio, D.A.V.E. The Drummer and has shared festival’s stages with legends like Vitalic, Chris Liebing, Danny Daze, Fur Coat, Joris Voorn, Pleasurekraft, Alex Stein, Pig & Dan, Victor Ruiz, Rodhad. Valerio’s Versus Show landed him a contract on the legendary Kiss FM with a prime time show every Monday, surrounded by many other quality broadcasts such as Drumcode radio with Adam Bayer, Edible Beat with Eats Everything, the bird house with Claude Vonstroke, etcetera. Now resident dj at NDSM Session and actively supporting Minitech Recordings is on his way to the European music industry and god knows what's next.
