The name undercurrent is derived from water, the interconnection between waves and sound. His life has been filled with a deep attachment to music, learning how to play instruments such as guitar, drums and piano from a young age. His explosion into the electronic music scene in 2023 started through his vinyl business, "Echo Records" with the idea to inspire and educate an audience about music across all genres. Aiming to unite a community of people who wanted to discover new music and sounds, while championing local artists and amplifying their sound. As he started going through hundreds of records, finding underground disco, house, techno, trance, jungle it quickly led him to the decks where he spent hundreds of hours refining his skills learning mixing styles and navigating through genres. 2023 was also the year he started Riverside Music College submersing himself fully into a world of production/mixing/mastering and events. Being lucky enough to experience some his favourite DJs such as Ron Trent, MCDE, Craig Smith and Waajeed at festivals over the last year. Regularly attending clubs in Glasgow, Berkeley suite, La Cheetah and SubClub for David Vunk, Antal Heitlager, Harri n Dom, Louie Vega and Leftfield. The list goes on. Creating a club night in 2024 "Underground Sessions" highlighting artists that oppose the commercial scene. His broad knowledge leads him to mix creatively from deep and dark to bright and soulful he has no limitations and pushes the boundaries to be different. Excelling in bar environments he slowly builds an energy, and will no doubt get the people dancing. After playing in Max's bar he was quickly offered a residency every week and shows his dedication to music. From dark Detroit techno and acidy/italo rave in Broadcast, ethereal deep house and and driving gospel in Sleazy's, progressive and tribal house in Dannsa taking listeners into a trance to full vinyl disco and deep house sets in Hillhead, Bananamoon, Tabac and Max's. Undercurrent is a DJ who will portray what he feels and take you on a voyage through sound.
