First conscious contact that Jan had with electronic music was when he was seven years old. That was in 1992 and Mobys „Go“boomed out of his older brothers ghetto blaster. Next came Artists like KLF and Prodigy, which he played at school festivals, where he had his first regularly gigs as DJ, which he performed to his best! As a 13 year old, he was watching a clip of Love Family with Sven Väth on the decks, who, while playing „Red Yellow Blue” from Marco Carola & Gadgets, was whipping the crowd into a frenzy on the dance floor. The spell of the energy loaded rhythm had finally got him. With the encouragement of a friend he spun his first record in December 2000. From there on he spent every free minute behind the turntables. A totally new world opened up for him, Realising, that music has no limits, he felt free to find his own style. Impressed, at the beginning, from Techno as well as Chicago and Detroit, he came in contact with Electro in spring 2001 listening to DJ Hell at the Mayday. Highly inspired and infected he started to create his style, a dynamic Tech- House with vibes from the 80’s. From this point on he found himself more and more browsing record shops for the newest tracks. Soon after his own tapes came into circulation and Jan received his first gigs at privat parties.In the same year he took part in a project called “no com”, which was a counterpart to the mainstream electronic music and also promoted young DJs. Together, many parties were organised, at which Jan gave regular performances. Ultimately these first ideas grew into a series of traditional Events, through which he gained even more popularity. After already having had the chance of performing at the Turbine 2020 in 2004, he became resident DJ the year after. Since then the Youngstar spins the records with the crème de la crème.
