After relocating to NYC from LA, TWAANKALU's sound has adopted the energetic pace and mixture of acoustic and metallic textures that’s inseparable from life in the City. Flowing effortlessly between Black dance styles like Club, Miami Bass and Techno, his perspective on music eschews the boundaries imposed by the mainstream scene and instead invites dancers to get in touch with the primal rhythms that serve as the foundation of contemporary Dance music.
