Trivialmusik began his career in 2003 as a trance DJ and artist manager, shaped by the structured, melodic frameworks of early 2000s electronic music culture. Over time, his direction shifted toward reduction and impact. Melody gave way to function. The focus moved to rhythm, repetition and physical intensity, leading into Schranz and uncompromising, high-tempo techno built around pressure and control. Since around 2020, Trivialmusik has been fully dedicated to hard techno. His sets operate in driving BPM ranges, incorporating industrial textures and stripped-down arrangements designed for dark, system-focused environments. The emphasis lies on structure rather than spectacle. Despite the evolution toward harder forms, classic techno remains central to his approach. Its discipline, restraint and functional clarity continue to inform his sound. Harder in execution, rooted in tradition. Operating between Amsterdam and Berlin, his work positions itself within contemporary hard techno while maintaining a clear connection to the foundations of European club culture.
