With an expansive knowledge of underground music from all over the world, it is hard to know where the set will go when Trexx hits the decks. Guided by feeling, she moves instinctively through unlikely pairings, finding ways for sounds from different places and scenes to meet. Based in Calgary, Trexx has built her practice through the city’s underground and DIY music scene, playing intimate spaces, clubs and larger events. She is also the creator of Club Pangaea, her own event series, extending her approach to music beyond the booth and into the spaces she helps shape. Trexx has appeared on bills supporting artists including Minna-no-Kimochi and Om Unit, alongside several appearances on CJSW Radio. Across each setting, her approach remains rooted in curiosity rather than predictability, allowing the room and the music to determine what comes next. What begins in one place rarely ends where expected.
