A seasoned movement artist and cultural worker, Tre's deep understanding of rhythm and musicality comes not just from studying music, but from embodying it. Hailing from the South and West Sides of Chicago, Tre is one of the very few artists to have both judged Red Bull Dance Your Style and been invited back the following year to DJ the competition, a rare feat that makes him the first Midwest dancer to ever accomplish this honor. Tre’s DJ style blends Chicago house, deep techno, soul, juke, funk, broken beat, and urban alternative, rooted in Black and queer dance traditions. He’s not just mixing tracks, he’s building language through sound, selecting from the gut, mixing with the body, and always playing with dancers in mind.
