Torsion is a California-based techno project exploring sonic structures at the point of collapse. Formerly known as Sentient, the duo adopted their current name to reflect an evolving approach defined by circularity, friction, and nonlinear processes. Their compositions move fluidly between suspension and propulsion, each sound deliberately placed to amplify tension and reshape spatial perception. Rooted in the Bay Area’s experimental scene, Torsion engages multiple mediums—releasing music, curating events, and crafting immersive environments that challenge conventional notions of genre, disrupt linear perceptions of time, and reimagine the boundaries of physical space.
