As a producer Raúl worked alongside Eduardo Cabra (Visitante from Calle 13) in the song “La cabra jala pal monte”, from the album “Cabra”. This track was written and produced by him, and was nominated in the 2021 Latin Grammy as “Best Alternative Album”. Raúl is also responsable for the productions of artists such as: Carolina Camacho (RD), Los Master Plus (Mx), Immasoul (Mx) Silvina Moreno (Arg), Sol Pereyra (Arg), Fer Altuzar (MX), Sofía Stainer (MX) and Alaíde (MX). “Jevi” is the name of Tonga Conga’s first album, a work that shows the potential of Raúl as a producer, fusing avant gard electronic beats with afro Caribbean percussions, with voices from the alternative Latin American diaspora. This album features Acentoh (RD), Mabiland (Col), Vanessa Zamora (Mx) y Tolumide (Nig), Mula (RD), Immasoul (Mx), Seba Otero (PR) and Plano (Mx). “Enter the Tonga” is the name of Raúl’s second album with this project, and will be coming out during 2024. Since 2023 Raúl runs a music studio and label called “Kaya Records”. Located in the heart of the city, the label focuses on dance music without genre, anything a dj can play, it can be cumbia, funk, dancehall, afro beat, house or techno. If a dj can play it, the label can release it.
