TOMMY CASTRO is a Brooklyn-based DJ, musician & record label owner (Our Starry Universe Records). Tommy’s played and hosted nights & parties at Good Room, Jupiter Disco, Cool Runnings @ Wei’s, Indo Life (LA), Le Bain/Nouveau York, Black Flamingo & Milagrosa. Tommy has a monthly radio show, Grand Street Sounds, w/ the DJ Palace Crew at The Lot Radio & a bi-monthly show, Our Starry Universe, for the Brighton (UK) radio station 1BTN.FM. Additionally, Tommy & Brooklyn Record Exchange owner Ben Stidel have a party rockin’ duo Spicy Boys & through this outlet the fellas channel an informed and impressive display of dance music wizardry in all its’ glory, often in the form of the extended dj set. This past year Spicy Boys made their production debut on the Lot Radio’s “A lot of love” compilation with their cheeky stomper “Spicy Little Clouds”. Tommy’s selections are the cultivation of 15+ years of Djing and more than two decades of collecting vinyl. His sound aligns with elements of cosmic Italian dance, spaced-out synth jams, balearic beats, left field’s esoteric wanderings, undeniable chug, melodic techno and a steady influx of both exciting new promos and recently unearthed or forgotten favorites. In 2020, Tommy co-founded Our Starry Universe with long-time musical companion, friend and studio mentor Tim Wagner. They’ve released five records in the past 18 months by extended family members A Separate Reality and Birds of Pandæmonium and have managed to coax stellar remix material from stalwarts Each Other, Juan Maclean & Hardway Bros. 2022 highlights include: Fixed @ Goodroom, Shapes Festival (Lysin), Earth Beat Weekender (NY), Milagrosa (NYC), Chapel Bar (275 Park Av S.
