Driven by deep disco, funked out acid electronica, and feel-good grooving house, the boys love bringing their fun loving energy and unique perspective to dance-floors all over Sydney. Inspired by a mix of west coast Cali funk, Afro, UK acid, Italo house and left field indie dance, the brothers have an eclectic bag of tricks (tracks) to pull from, making them a dynamic duo on almost any dance floor around the world. Since starting out in 2020 - Tokyo Sexwale have cut their teeth playing house parties in and around the Sydney scene and have since established themselves at mainstays in the Sydney scene, playing at some of the more iconic parties and establishments such as The Abercrombie, The Ivy’s Lost Sundays, Sussudio, Carousel, and The Island. The two have also supported international artists such as Roger Sanchez and Anna Lunoe, as well as local icons Luke Alessi, Jordan Brando, Cassette, and Uncle Ru. Coming off their recent festival debut at Lost Paradise and celebrating their party collective “House Plant’s” first birthday, the duo are expecting to keep the energy building in 2024, with a string of original tracks set to release steadily throughout the year.
