Through these experimental rhythmic techniques, he seeks to explore the physicality of sound and its detailed qualities, prolonging tension and release while texture is blurred and smeared. Performing live and throughout his discography, Third Space balances hesitancy and tension, flexing and bending within a sub-heavy framework, complemented by warped and mangled field recordings. The tangible resonance of sound here is expressed, questioned, and reinterpreted. Third Space has provided guest mixes for A Colourful Storm (Rinse France), Rosa, Theory Therapy and multiple domestic and international radio stations. He has performed across Australia and Europe throughout clubs, festivals and an assortment of music-focussed venues, including for Absurd Lustre at Arkaoda, Berlin. Third Space continues to explore and promote experimental music via his own label, Nice Setting - an independent music label and intermittent radio show. The label’s young catalog ranges from free jazz percussion through to IDM and sample-laden ambience.
