Lust started DJing during the covid lockdown, and since then she have been pushing the boundaries of dark techno, hosting raves for fellow music addicts from their Shoreditch studio, as well as pursuing other forms of artistic exploration. Since the beginning her DJ set has been about creating a journey following a cinematic story telling approach and heavily influenced by fierce techno, EBM, industrial and experimental, while their journey of exploring gender and sexuality began on the dancefloor and became the foundation for the alter ego The Lust Emperor. Letter from Lust: Sound to me is one of the most honest and direct sense that we have, the feelings that stricken by sound wave are a direct respond from our body and mind instead of a conscious decision. And those feelings continue to generate a scene, and a scene evolves to a story/ a journey. I think that’s one of the reason why I feel I am on a trip whenever I’m having a good time with music and dance. So, mixing to me has always been about creating a sound journey of mine that to share with many others, through the process of selecting the sounds that sparks certain feelings in me and by threading them together to sensualise my story to you, that is my most honest, expressive and vulnerable moment.
