Faithful to the scene since the better part of a decade, Joan is a producer, DJ, and raver at heart. She devotes most of her free time to making bleep-bloops at home, digging through digital crates for sonic inspiration, and investing her time and sweat into the Bay Area underground. As a DJ, Joan seeks to share euphoric waves, while also creating moments that invite deep introspection. The Baptist keeps things playful (often humorous) but always spins with emotional intentionality and a sense of optimism. Every set is a communion—equal parts sweat, spirit, and sound–she will deliver you. Religious to no electronic genre, Joan loves collecting music of all kinds, with a focus on Acid House, Progressive House, Breaks, Trance, and Techno.
