Terence Fixmer is a highly respected figure in the techno scene, known for his innovative and genre-pushing approach to music production. With a career spanning over two decades, he has released numerous albums and EPs, collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry. In 1999, Fixmer gained worldwide recognition with the release of his debut album "Muscle Machine" on DJ Hell's legendary International Deejay Gigolos imprint. The album combined electro, industrial, EBM, and techno into a more dancefloor-focused EBM style that became known as "Techno Body Music". Tracks like "Electrostatic", "Body Pressure", and "Electric Vision" are still considered modern classics today. Fixmer continued to explore and redefine the boundaries of modern techno, releasing albums and EPs under his own name as well as various alter egos. He has also remixed some of the biggest names in techno, including Sven Väth and Dave Clarke, Ellen Allien, Dj hell as well as artists like Depeche Mode and Yann Tiersen. His remixes for iconic EBM bands like Nitzer Ebb and Front 242, Front Line Assembly have also garnered critical acclaim. In addition to his solo work, Fixmer teamed up with Nitzer Ebb's lead singer Douglas McCarthy to form Fixmer/McCarthy, releasing two full-length albums that pushed the boundaries of Techno EBM to the maximum. Fixmer is known for the quality of his live acts, and has performed at renowned clubs and festivals all over the world. He is the only French artist to have released records and an album on Ostgut Ton, the flagship label of the Berghain club in Berlin. He is also a respected member of the Mute Records label, known for its roster of innovative and influential artists. Fixmer's discography includes releases on labels such as Prologue, Gigolo, Electric de Luxe, CLR, Jealous God, Ostgut Ton, and his own label Planete Rouge, showcasing his restless drive to create experimental, mind-bending, ruthless, and unrelenting sounds, way beyond the musical mainstream.
