Originally from Tennessee and born into a music family, tenSpeed (Tip Dunn) moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and started DJing a few years later. Starting a record collection about a decade ago with some hand me downs from his parents, he quickly started amassing a varied collection from shops around the world that represents his love and respect for all types of music. These days his collection leans heavily towards soul, funk, disco, classic rock, and house with his sets reflecting these genres. 45s are his favorite medium and generally fill most gigs. Since 2022, tenSpeed has been DJing full time and hosts multiple residencies around Los Angeles as well as spinning one off parties and corporate events. Travel is a big part of his life and he has had the pleasure of playing in his favorite cities like Tokyo, New York, and Mexico City. In 2023 tenSpeed completed his first Tokyo tour playing five gigs in a week and in 2024 he will return to do it again where he will be launching a new progressive house focused party called Hypersleep on 11/1/24 at Pink Bar in Asakusa as well as various other gigs around Tokyo over two weeks.
