23-year-old Dutch DJ and producer, Tensen, found his way into the world of electronic music at a very early age. Being raised just outside of Amsterdam, Tensen found himself fascinated by the underground, cultivating his passion for the sound day by day. Growing up in a musical family with jazz and funk free-flowing through his ears, Tensen was instantly drawn to the arts, laying the musical ground-work before he could talk. Having played the drums since the age of 9 it’s no surprise that Tensen’s distinctly raw, percussive yet effortlessly-groovy sound has taken influence, sitting on the deeper side of the house spectrum. As a self-taught producer, Tensen spends countless hours tucked away in his studio, honing his craft. A passion he shares closely with his younger brother. Today, he plays an active part as a leader for the new generation of Amsterdam’s underground music scene, empowering his peers and leading by example, demonstrating that the opportunities really are endless, if you just set your mind to it. Having secured a number of highly reputable club shows and festival gigs over the years, including Shelter, where he holds his residency, Lofi, Levenslang, Thuishaven and Bangalup, and playing for long-standing labels including Eastenderz, SlapFunk and VBX, a promising future for Tensen is on the horizon. With his inner fire reignited, burning brighter than ever, we can confidently guarantee that Tensen is in it for the long run.
