Biografía
Tendai started life as a club promoter in 2000 where he ran the Hexion drum ‘n’ bass parties at The Herbal which were the first regular drum 'n' bass night in Shoreditch in 2001. It was through the Hexion nights that Tendai then took to DJing and within no time gained recognition within the drum 'n' bass scene playing alongside the likes of Goldie, Grooverider and Andy C. He then went on to become resident DJ for the club playing for the likes of Hospital Records and Grooverider’s Grace. In 2006 he joined the Groove Connection Agency and became a resident at the legendary liquid drum ‘n’ bass night Swerve and has been playing there ever since seeing the night move from The End, to Ruby Lo, to Cable and now to its current home of Plan B in Brixton.
Becoming Swerve resident opened many doors for Tendai and he has since toured Japan & Brazil playing at many club including the Drum ‘n’ Bass Sessions at Unit – Tokyo and was also a guest on DJ Marky’s Energia 97FM radio show; held further residencies at Lockside Lounge, The Horse & Groom, Turnmills, Movement at Bar Rumba; played at superclubs Fabric, Heaven, Cable, The End; been booked to play across Europe in places like Estonia, Austria & Barcelona; he played at many an upmarket club like The Kensington Roof Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, St Martin’s Lane Hotel, The Met Bar & Coq d’Argent. Tendai has also featured in magazines & newspapers such as Knowledge, The Metro, Drum and Bass Arena, The Guestlist Network &; Fried My Little Brain. He has also played on radio stations such as Rinse FM, Block FM (Tokyo) and Pyrotechnic Radio
