Biografía
Telly Savalas has been through many different stages of music business. In 2007, he joined the roster of Prague’s Radio 1. First privately owned radio station in Czech Republic after the fall of communism, which has been instrumental in shaping czech underground music scene. The station is still going strong, 29 years later, sticking by it’s core principles of no playlists, musical and ideological eclecticism and tolerance. Shortly after joining, he started assisting in the programming department, ultimately making it to programming director. Although he left the radio office for sound engineering and production work at the bespoke Cross Club, it is on Radio 1, where he has his bi-weekly show, dedicated to showcasing fresh house music cuts and guest mixes from the likes of Angelo Ferreri, James Ingram or Pinto (NYC).
He and his friends formed the Chuť Žít crew, with the aim of bringing the solid jackin house vibes back and sice managed to host such artists as Mark Funk, Full Intention, Angelo Ferreri, Samo or Joey Chicago, building an ushakeable position on the czech house music scene.
His sets are first and foremost colourful and feature everything from heavily disco-influenced tracks and classic soulful house, through jackin cuts all the way to rougher subgenres, depending on the venue and the mood of the audience.
