Tats K is a Japanese DJ and producer whose sound fuses house, techno, breaks, electronica, garage, and progressive with a deep sense of groove, texture, and emotional depth. Influenced early on by the raw energy of Chicago house and Detroit techno and having explored the UK's progressive house, garage, and IDM scenes, he developed a hybrid approach rooted in the intersection of these genres. Having spent several years immersed in New York City's club culture, Tats K absorbed the city’s diversity and intensity. He performed over 100 gigs a year across diverse genres in Manhattan and Brooklyn, from vinyl-only sessions to expansive club sets, before officially launching the Tats K project to unify his wide-ranging influences under one creative vision. As a producer, Tats K balances modern progressive sensibilities with classic underground roots, creating a sound that is both forward-thinking and nostalgic. He is often seen jamming with his favorite sampler, using drum breaks and organic samples and tweaking synthesizers to create a layered, dynamic, and emotive sound. In 2024, his release on the UK's Stripped Recordings gained support from John Digweed, one of electronic music's most respected figures. In recent years, Tats K has performed extensively in Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, and Japan. He has also been invited to perform guest DJ sets on internationally renowned radios, including Insomniac Radio, where he played for Bass, Breaks N´ Flow.
