TAKKER is a Japanese DJ and party organiser based in London. He is active in a variety of venues, from small clubs to large venues and radio stations around the world. He has been based in Tokyo since 2019, but that was just for fun with his friends. In 2022, he went to study abroad in London, and he was shocked by the success of a Japanese DJ and started his career as a DJ in earnest. He had been a fun of dancehall reggae since he was a child, and through the dance music scene, he encountered Techno Dancehall and FDM, a style that fused dancehall and dance music, and formed his current DJ style. Before starting his music career, he worked as a fashion editor for a number of luxury brands for a long period of time. His sensitivity to working with exclusive brands has contributed to his unique position in the open and inclusive dance music scene. His music selections are perfectly balanced, ranging from up-tempo to dark and heavy, always leading the floor to a place between warmth and alertness. He works as an event organiser and launched his own party 'PUREHAZE' in November 2022 during his temporary return to Japan. The first party was held under the theme of Experimental Dancehall & Reggaeton, which is his origin as a DJ. The main acts were Mars89, a DJ/producer and residency at Noods Radio, and WRACK, a DJ/producer releases from N.A.A.F.I., and they made an impact on the Tokyo music scene. The second event was held in London in February 2023, and featured miute from Tokyo, a DJ from the same generation as TAKKER who shares a similar DJ style with him, making it a night of crossover between the two cities where TAKKER has walked the path. In addition to the party, PUREHAZE is also offering DJ mixes curated by TAKKER on SoundCloud. The first work was provided by Lil Mofo, a DJ who has greatly influenced his DJ style and needs no explanation. The second work is curated by Gunilla a.k.a G.VERSION III, who has been making headlines for her work on Akito's NTS Radio episodes as G.VERSION III, her producer name.
