sZARSz
Biografía
sZARSz is an American and Serbian left-field electronics duo founded by its principal member in Olympia in 2016. Since its inception the nomadic project has played in various corners of the world. From gallery’s in Taiwan to squats in Berlin and Belgrade. From deep in the woods of the American Pacific Northwest with the Katabatik collective to Parc Royal in Brussels on Kiosk Radio. Their innovative use of sampler, vintage and modular synthesizers, and tape loops brings together complex beats and dark ambient soundscapes placing sZARSz at a unique crossroads between dance and doom. Their recent releases include the split with Umbra (RS) on Crash Symbols which was ranked #5 in Tab’s Out Podcast’s top 200 tapes of 2021. Their winter solstice full length Indecipherable Glyph recorded in Serbia and released on Rumour Rest includes the single Spectre whose video was directed by Jovana Ivanac of Berlin’s 20 Seconds Magazine. The project is currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
