Syssndr is a Munich-based DJ and event curator rooted in classic techno and hardgroove. Introduced to the electronic dance music through the underground of Heidelberg, his sets draw from the blueprints of classic 90s techno, the spatial depth of dub techno and the blunt force of hardgroove, threaded through with the reckless energy of street-influenced hip-hop and the organic warmth of raw, functional house. His selections emphasize loops, hypnotic grooves and dancefloor function over genre boundaries or spectacle. Together with Julius Lackmann, he organises Staircase Sessions at TAM TAM Treppenbar - a platform built as an antidote to Munich's polished club culture, centered around accessibility, curiosity and a crowd that actually dances.
