symmetry began as two DJs shaped by the same rooms, long before it became a project of its own. PACH. and Lucas were shaped by clubbing institutions of the North, before years spent immersed in Europe's tech-house and minimal scenes which sharpened an instinct for groove, restraint and the arc of a set. Since relocating to London, they’ve been pulled into the city's underground scene, pushed into new rooms and new crowds into something looser, playful and harder to predict. The name isn't incidental, symmetry is built on the idea of two: two people, two record bags, two ways of hearing a track, two distinct points of view working closely enough to move as one. PACH.'s instinct for rhythm and groove meets Lucas's ear for emotion, structure and story: call and response, tension and release. One sets a groove, the other answers it - sometimes with the perfect complement, sometimes with something unexpected, but always in service of where the story should go next. It’s the difference between them working together that gives every set its shape. Combined, PACH. and Lucas bring over 20 years of DJing and production experience between them. Lucas holds a degree in Music Production, specialising in mixing and mastering; PACH. teaches music production, turning years behind the decks into a working knowledge of how records are actually built. That grounding shows up on the night through acapellas, loops and tools produced specifically for their own sets, used to bend familiar records into moments that exist only there. Layering tools and textures together to create unique moments on the dancefloor that only happen once. Musically, symmetry moves between bouncy, uplifting house, rolling tech-house and swung minimal, always narrative-led and in service of the dancefloor. The aim is music that makes you feel something while you dance, that connects on a deeper level. symmetry is a unified project: two journeys, one language moving forward together.
