DJ Sydney Love is New York's first Nigerian Female DJ. Sydney hails from The Bronx, New York & Miami, Florida by way of Lagos, Nigeria. Dubbed the ‘Queen of AfroVibes’ Sydney Love is well known for her Afrobeats, Alté and Hip-Hop selections. Her DJ sets fuse said genres together and provide a well rounded Afro-Diaspora experience. DJ Sydney Love has grown from opening shows for artists such as Ari Lennox, Runtown, Little Simz, Kari Faux, Amine, Keke Palmer & more, to DJing international African music festivals such as AfroNation: Puerto Rico and AfroNation Chop Vegas. Sydney Love keeps a busy schedule and is often traveling between Lagos, London and New York City. With Afrobeats on the rise, Sydney Love was compelled to create her own platform, ‘NAIRA’. NIARA Party has grown to be the most popular Afrobeats party series in New York City with every night sold out and venues packed to capacity. Sydney Love currently has a monthly DJ residence at SNS Bar NYC where she curates the popular ALTÉ CRUISE and LADIES OF AFROVIBES parties. In 2022, Sydney Love launched her indie record label ‘EKO MIAMI Records’. DJ Sydney Love is currently working on her debut DJ EP and is aiming to release her next single in 2022. Fresh off touring with Tiwa Savage on her Water & Garri North American tour, Sydney Love is currently keeping busy playing sets at Everyday Afrique by EverydayPPL, Lincoln Center, Lets Get Fr.ee Festival and more to be announced!
