Sundance Kid
Biografía
SunDance Kid has been DJing and producing events in New York City and now Mexico for over twelve years. He was co-producer of the Music Is the Drug parties, which were located at Le Souk and Lit Lounge in New York City for over two years. He is now the lead producer of the Deep End collective and brand, which throws events in both New York and Mexico.
SunDance fell in love with electronic music when he moved to New York City at the age of nineteen. He immediatly discovered the rave culture, frequenting venues like Limelight, the Tunnel, and Twilo, as well as legendary parties like Danny Tenaglia's party at Vinyl, Timmy Regisford's “Shelter,” and DJ Tony Touch's “Funkbox” just to name a few. Eventually, through friends who were DJs, Sundance learned to DJ himself and the rest is history, as they say.
SunDance eventually discovered the Burning Man music scene in New York and this is where he primarily hangs out and performs in New York these days. However, he has also expanded to the West coast of Mexico where he now thrives amongst the plentiful nightlife, beach, and pool parties of Jalisco and Nayarit.
SunDance has played at many venues in New York and Mexico and at festivals such as Burning Man, Love Burn, and Disorient. He recently played Kostume Kult's huge Freakshow party and Luca's Lounge events in New York.
He is affiliated with labels such as Universal Love Tribe (US), Stripped Digital (UK), and IN IN Music (Mexico).
His favorite genres to play are deep and dark progressive house and techno, but he also loves indie dance, organic house, and Afro house. Regardless, any crowd and promoter can expect SunDance to play a high-energy set that takes people on a musical journey that they will remember in the days afterward.
