If she's feeling extra spicy, she might whip out her aerophone or flute, live sampling to elevate to higher levels of groove She's classically ( Grade 8 Organ, Classical Flute and Piano ) and jazz trained ( Grade 8 Jazz Flute ) and incorporates this into the music she produces. Growing up in Malaysia, her name takes inspiration from this. 'Saya suka menari ' means 'I like to boogie' in Bahasa Melayu. The change from 'a' to 'e' in 'menari' is because 'Meneri' backwards is 'Irene(m)' which is her mother's name - a tribute to her favourite person in the world and a prominent figure in her love for disco, soul and funk and musical background. With her musical and engineering background, her values in DJing lie in maximal utilisation of harmonies and the gift of modern technology in DJ equipment, creating 'new tracks' through the seamless blends of her favourite tunes and - of course - reading the crowd to bring new levels of boogie.
