Dubai based DJ/Producer/Journalist, Stu Todd AKA TODD is resident and co-promoter of XY (Edinburgh, Glasgow & Aberdeen) and having cut his teeth as both a DJ and promoter in the fertile underground clubs of Scotland, he chose to expand his reach further afield. His DJ sets and productions are all encompassing, taking in a wide cross section of House, Techno, Garage, Electro, RnB and Nu-Disco. In his 15 years of DJing, Stu has found that in order to really bring the party, a wide and varied knowledge of music is essential. TODD is at home easing a sun kissed poolside into the early evening with smooth deep house and electronica as much as he is slamming out peak time house and techno to thousands on a festival main stage. Stu's eclectic tastes and mixing style has garnered many fans amongst his peers and clubber's alike. Cutting a swathe between genres like only he can, TODD can be found guesting at an eclectic range of award winning events such as Plus Minus, Superheroes, Electric Days and Arcadia. TODD’s summer production schedule kicked off with a bang in May; with his debut EP dropping on Spanish label, Undersound. His “Deep End” EP received huge press support in the UAE and pushed him to keep his foot on the gas. This saw a 3 track EP drop on Serbia’s Happy Days Records the following month. Next up was a bass heavy EP on Brazilian label, Kieso Music keeping TODD’s output regular and solid. TODD’s summer peaked by grabbing the attention of up and coming Detroit label – LABEL. The Detroit outfit have just released TODD’s “Tough Summer” EP that has already garnered praise from the UAE’s finest. LABEL was so impressed with TODD’s vibe that they have enlisted his remixing talents and confirmed a full release from the Scotsman which will drop January 2016. With extensive promoting experience, Stu also makes full use of all available media tools to create a multi faceted social networking product. This also includes the fact that Stu uses his wealth of knowledge of electronic music and club culture to contribute and edit various online and print publications, such as Hype Magazine (UAE), Infusion Magazine (UAE), 7 Days Newspaper (UAE), I-on Magazine (Edinburgh & Glasgow) EQTV.CO.UK (UK), Real Faze (UK) & Ticket Arena (UK).
