Stretch DJ / Producer has been an important part of Jungle/Drum & Bass music. Started playing on sound systems, clubs, and house parties. Things changed when Stretch was introduced to Marc & Dego aka 4Hero Reinforced Records. Masters of their craft, Stretch learned fundamental skills at Reinforced. Stretch went on to release the infamous jungle anthem “Worries in da Dance”. First played at the legendary AWOL club, and after an impressive five reloads Stretch was signed to DJ Ron’s label A London Something Records also Papa Lover and Hungry Tiger to name a few. Stretch went on to play at some of London’s best Jungle nights & venues; AWOL, Jungle Mania, Telepathy, London Someting, Morning After, Thunder & Joy, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric & The End Club. Stretch was an integral member of the Reinforced Records family supporting 4Hero, DJ’ing for them worldwide, all across the UK, Europe, Japan, and the USA. Stretch is known for bringing the vibe and his VIP dub-plates. Stretch set up his own labels Rinsing Records & A-KO Recordings focusing on his own productions and showcasing up-and-coming talent. He has also had releases under a few aliases on Reinforced Records & A-KO Recordings. Stretch has now relaunched the AKO brand and runs two successful labels AKO Beatz and AKO150 both focusing on that jungle/DnB sound. AKO Beatz with new age jungle/DnB sound but stays true to its roots with releases from Goldie, Marc Mac, Mantra, Double O & Ricky Force to name but a few on the label, and AKO150 which focuses on some of the unreleased gems from the golden era and new retrospective jungle with that oldskool feel. The label has really taken off with some great releases and special edition vinyl projects along with merchandise for men and women. AKO will be doing a series of labels night up and down the country also taking the brand aboard. Stretch is one of the hardest working guys in the scene and has also been busy deejaying across the country and it now back in the studio.
