Biografía
Stevie resists easy categorisation. Rooted in techno but never bound to it, her selections move fluidly between percussion infused, bass-heavy rhythms, and ambient explorations. Layered, textural, and intuitive. The dancefloor should feel like a warm blanket: soft but loud, a place of connection where people leave the dancefloor lighter and empowered.
She first stepped behind the decks out of curiosity, a natural extension of her lifelong love for collecting music. Sound had always bled into her visual art — sometimes a single track sparking a drawing — but DJ’ing stirred something different: the urge to share. Mixing, especially with vinyl, became a way to quiet her restless mind. The tactility, the imperfections, the joy of being fully in the moment — it turned into a practice of presence.
Since the beginning of her journey, Rotterdam’s Operator Radio has been her anchor. Hosting a monthly show, Stevie created a ritual of digging, connecting, and holding space for herself. Sometimes that means conversations or b2b's with guests; often, it’s about exploring her own intuition inside the iconic blue container.
Community has always been her foundation. She is surrounded by talented peers who inspire her daily, and she treasures the fact that she can tug on a friend’s sleeve for advice and encouragement.
Her artistic life extends beyond music: As a tattoo artist, Stevie sees her visual and sonic practices as a diptych: inseparable and interdependent. Both are rooted in community and are ways of giving something lasting to others.
Her journey has already brought her to key stages in Rotterdam and beyond — from regular sets at Perron to the pre-party of Wildeburg, Operator stage at Wilde Weide, and her own event series 'Very Soft, Very Loud' at Weelde.
Above all, she is a dancer first, bringing connection and joy to every set.
