Stefano Urso; who is better known as Steve Hammer dj, was born in 1988 in Scorrano (Lecce), a little city in the south of Italy. His musical origin is inspired from popular folk culture from Salento in the magnificent Puglia region. When he was fourteen years old, he started to appreciate the musical creativity in the clubbing scene. As his knowledge developed, he tried his hand at the art of mixing and built a resounding reputation in many of the clubs in Puglia through his performances at the Living Club, Vertigo, Controvento, Ciack Disco amongst many others. Having developed a solid following in the Puglia region, he moved to Venice at the age of eighteen to continue to explore his passion for house music. He bought a Roland Spd-sx and started to play live across Venice always refining his music, which evolved from house music to include minimal and techno-house vibes. He produces a unique fresh sound that is well worth a listen. Whilst in Venice he featured in clubs such a Mio club, Molo 5 and Deja Vu. As he built his reputation in Venice he progressed to playing live sets with a mastered skill in electronic drums. Steve created some of his tracks in a studio with the help of his friend, Nicola Brusegan. As a sentiment to the quality and uniqueness of his work, this year in summer 2015,a Canadian recording company - Dash Deep Records; noticed his sound and distributed his album "Chemistry". The album can be found on spotify which includes two tracks; Sunset and Chernobyl as a taster of his work. In the year 2016 out new projects, "Rousing Soul Ep" on Pogohouse rec., two tracks from the remote key Hold school, and "Dementia Ep" on Advision rec., the latter with more electronic notes.New EP for Steve Hammer, released in July 2017 only digital, this time on Melodymathics Recording, the ep by the name Canarian, originates from folk dances of the Spanish Archipelago. At the end of the year two other Ep come out, respectively in "Swing & Jam rec." titled "Royale Ep" always House sounds mixed with a right pinch Garage; and "Teatro Ep" on "Pure Beats rec.; in 2018 new release on "House Cookin's rec."
