Enchanting... Phenomenon... Trailblazer... These are word which will never be used to describe Sterling Cooper. He began his education in DJing at events in the Brighton clubs of Patterns and The Green Door Store before moving to Liverpool and honing his skills on the Smithdown Party scene. After a couple years of uni house kitchens, basements and many noise complaints he graduated to playing in clubs such as 24 Kitchen Street, Meraki, and The Jac. Currently a resident presenter on Liverpool-based radio station SVARA he can often be heard on Saturday afternoons helping listeners battle through their hangovers with a choice cuts from his record collection. Music has been a big part of Sterling's life since he was a small child, stating 'Pirates Of The Caribbean Techno Remixes ripped off Limewire by my dad was my first introduction to electronic music and I just went from there.' With family members constantly pushing the likes of The Smiths, Daft Punk, Kylie and A Tribe Called Quest onto his impressionable young brain it's fair to say he's developed an eclectic musical taste which is reflected in his sets. Dabbling in the promotion game Sterling set up Box2Box with his best pal and since it's creation has hosted the likes of Frazer Ray, Nite Fleit & Will Silver all while making many a meme for their Insta followers.
