Stephan Maman
Biografía
Stephan’s interest in electronic music started as a kid living in the Netherlands in the early 2000s, where he listened to 4/4 genres of music including techno and Eurotrance. At 11 years old he remembers hearing the artist Gigi D’Agostino repeatedly on the radio, and he used all his money to buy D'Agostino's album L’Amour Toujours. Stephan listened to it on repeat many times on his portable disc player, enamored by the synthesized sounds.
After several failed attempts at trying to learn FL Studio, Stephan eventually picked up Ableton and over several years started to produce under his first artist project named West Palm Bass.
After moving to DC in 2020, Stephan was inspired by the local techno music scene, leading him to rediscover his passion for the style of electronic music he originally loved as a kid.
