Between 1997 and 2007, Stefan released music under the names Stabilizer, Mako Shark and Stefan Goodchild on labels such as Plastic Raygun, Functional Breaks, Sound Of Habib and many others. His 2001 single “What It Takes” taken from his spectacularly unsuccessful album was described as “A Classic” by Andy Weatherall, which made all the effort worthwhile frankly. During this period Stefan DJed all over Europe and North America including sets at Glastonbury Festival (2004) in the old 5000 capacity "Dance Tent” (that tent is now the John Peel stage) then in 2007, Stefan remixed "The Warning” by Nine Inch Nails for Real World Records, which was licensed into Need For Speed (Game) and appears on 2007’s ‘Year Zero Remixed’ album. When his partner, Cathy (Aka DJ Catchi) started Minotaur Sound in he again started DJing his favourite warm up slot and this, combined with co-hosting the Minotaur Sound radio show on Bristol's 1020 Radio, has developed his current sound of off kilter slow techno seamlessly building up to dirty 140bpm breaks via off kilter baseline wonky left field electronics. After years focusing on music production and DJing Stefan moved away from making music to focus on concert visuals, including work with LCD Soundsystem, Pet Shop Boys, Rag n Bone Man, Pulp among others, but in 2014 he caught the music production bug again. These later productions were characterised with lower tempos and followed a new path in the more left field and experimental end of things leading to the formation of Triple Geek Recordings to release them into the wild. Now 9 releases in including a releases from Kraymon and Modern Swerve he is almost ready to call it a proper label. Alongside this he has released a well received EP on the Bristol label Kiwis + Coconuts and had his Electrophobic EP from 2001 re-issued on vinyl by the upcoming AGT label.
