Born in the highlands of Scotland and growing up in Melbourne, Australia; Stedding thrives between different worlds. From Faithless watching Trigger Happy TV to psytrance after he had come back from many of the bush doofs circa early 2000s - growing up, his father opened up pandoras box that is the realm of possibilities music can take us. Stedding, deriving his name from the fantasy series The Wheel of Time, was inspired by its definition: the land of the giants, the only place war hasn't touched - a place of refuge. Inspired by world travel and storytelling, Stedding loves an introduction, a journey, and an end. His sets intend to conduct the dancefloor in sync, to surprise, to weave, and he shies away from staying in one genres place. Skipping through his sets should spark an interest - "how did we get here?" and his unique yet simple edits are a testament to having an idea and following it through to fruition. Living 7 years in Berlin, he started DJing there for birthday parties in basements, moving onto Berlin's Funkhaus and Goldengate before playing briefly in Amman, Jordan, and finally, Berlin's speakeasy club, 'Melancholie'. Back in Melbourne he has played for Chi Wow Wah Town's city event at ATET and The Final Celestial Gathering at Rubix Warehouse. Now, he continues his party series 'Fluid In Motion', initially at legendary Killing Time on Chapel Street, Windsor; and now onto Bourke Street's Angel Music Bar. Fluid In Motion is a colourful spectacle of global sounds. A community from north and south, built on the appreciation for each other and the little things. Life is fluid - change is constant - we are in motion.
