Biografía
As a multidisciplinary artist who has focused on choreography for the majority of her career, she has always felt at home when guiding people through sonic experience - establishing tones of care, sensuality, and ownership. I invite those that experience my sets to welcome a newfound relationship with themselves, one that transcends past the daily mundane and heals your body and soul.As a queer artist, I strive to make work that encourages people to feel seen, my music selection is an extension of myself, pulling from my long time inspirations like Arca and Honey Dijon. In my choreographic work, It has always remained integral to my artistic development that I curate and produce my own sound scores. This intention has led to my transition into DJing as a spiritual experience. Blending elements of house and eccentric energetic vocals intertwined with a deep undercurrent of beats, and an overarching tone of techno, my goal with exploring multiple realms of music is to foster a space where everyone is led to dance no matter their musical taste. I aim to slow down time, create a surge of euphoria, and dissipate the everyday worries of the world, for only but a moment while I experience the decks.
Residing in Brooklyn, New York, as a trans femme multidisciplinary artist, Siren’s expansive curiosity for exploring the multidimensional realm of music has always kept her hungry for possibility. Siren has had the opportunity to create over 12 new works over the eight years. Her work has taken her to residencies in the South of France, and performances in Berlin, harnessing the global impact and inspirations of music and dance on a global scale. This has led Siren to manifest a well tuned ear to the powers of music, navigating the underground techno world of Brooklyn nightlife, to raves in Paris and Berlin, Siren takes the embodied knowledge of her life experiences and applies it to the decks. Beginning her DJ career with duo partner Skin Contact in January 2024, the two have grown to explore who they are as solo artists, as well as, learning the dynamic of playing back to back in a set. Since then, Siren has played for a fundraising event in February, the entirety of an absinthe tasting event as a duo in SOHO New York, NightHorse in Greenpoint, Marcus Webb second gallery opening at Cooper Union, and now Siren and SkinContact prepare to collaborate as co-producers for their rave PLAY ME TECHNO AND TELL ME I'M PRETTY - a party focused on connectivity, sweat, performance, and sonic dissonance.
