Sour D is a Texas-born DJ, producer, whose journey through the underground music scene has been anything but typical. By the early 2020s, his evolution into a producer was inevitable. Armed with years of live experience and a deep understanding of what moves a crowd, he began crafting original tracks that captured his blend of influence — drawing from 90s house, 2000s New York underground vibe, gospel samples, and modern-day club textures. The results were undeniable: raw yet polished, nostalgic but forward-facing, and always made with movement in mind. From 2021 to 2024, Sour D quietly built a catalog of music that reflected both his range and his roots. Tracks like "I'll be Back" with a modern club bounce vibe, while his DJ sets evolved to include more unreleased originals and exclusive edits. Simultaneously, he grew as a curator and collaborator, regularly performing with dancers and artists across disciplines, integrating performance into the experience. In Summer 2025, his creative journey reached a new chapter as he stepped into a leadership role at Lauterhaus Records, taking over A&R and budgeting for the label. With a clear vision and ear for timeless grooves, he’s helped shape Lauterhaus into a rising hub for independent house releases, focused on quality over hype and long-term movement over viral trends.
