Sonically, S.O.F.T. Power is building a sound he describes as Soft Rave — a repertoire that pulls from the left fields of house, psychedelic disco, chuggy techno, post-punk, and acidic balearic dreams. Always blending weird and beautiful records without abandoning the classics. S.O.F.T. Power is an energy source generated by Detroit, but not the version mythologized by outsiders. The real thing: musically open, sonically rigorous, uplifting, cathartic, and pressure-tested for the dancefloor. He's spent nearly 20 years building, sustaining, and closing rooms over - with over 350 parties, residencies, festival activations, and sets in sacred underground spaces across the country. For him, local culture is the only REAL culture. DJing and building community through nightlife are part of his broad spectrum creative practice. S.O.F.T. Power is the channel he uses to weave that strange light between the peak time and afterglow.
