Resident DJ and promoter of Glasgow’s long running and nomadic party Lezure, Sloan has been been a staple at venues such as Glasgow’s La Cheetah Club, Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s and Berlin’s Salon zur Wilden Renate. A deep digger with a penchant for Motor City indebted sounds, his sets map out reference points from either side of the Atlantic while remaining distinctly groove focused. Recently in the capital he’s a common fixture at the Alien Communications parties at The Lion and Lamb and The Cause as well as playing Tola in Peckham for Heels and Souls. He heads up Streams of Thought, manifested as a monthly show on 1020 Radio and label, freshly minted by his own “Joyless State” EP, garnering airplay from BBC Music Introducing as well as a remix from Scottish techno pedigree Slam. With more releases in the pipeline as well as rising stock in some of the cities best clubs, this is someone worth keeping an eye on.
