Since becoming captivated by the infectious beats of Acid house back in 1995, Sky Rivers (aka Michael Atallah) has been on an exhilarating journey of storytelling through the art of DJing. Born and bred in Los Angeles, Rivers dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the craft, eventually finding himself at the epicenter of San Francisco's music scene from 2001 to 2006. However, after an eye-opening tour through South America and the profound loss of his parents in 2007, Rivers found himself standing at a crossroads. It was then that he shifted gears, channeling his creative energy into the world of film and video, while still nurturing his deep-rooted connection to music through intimate DJ sessions. From 2008 onward, Michael Atallah carved a path in visual storytelling, all the while preserving his unwavering passion for dance music. He remained a steadfast collector, curator, and supporter of the scene, perpetually spinning tunes in private gatherings and lending his support wherever he roamed. In a serendipitous turn of events in late 2023, Rivers found himself beckoned back to the spotlight, invited to showcase his talents at the intimate gathering known as In Transit in his hometown of Los Angeles. With Sky Rivers back on the lineup, the doors to his comeback swung wide open, igniting a renewed sense of purpose to honor his roots as a true artistic luminary. Now, he stands poised to once again grace stages not only in Los Angeles but across the globe, embracing this new chapter with open arms and a resounding commitment to the culture that first inspired his artistic journey.
