Biografía
She enjoys collaborations with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Deutsche Oper and musicAeterna. As a solo harpist she has won numerous prizes. She has performed under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, Andris Nelsons, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Matthias Pintscher, Tugan Sokhiev, Donald Runnicles and Teodor Currentzis.
Sissi Makropoulou is also active as a composer and arranger. Her works have been performed in Berlin (Sophiensäle), Munich (Münchener Kammerspiele), Vienna (Brut), Zurich (Gessnerallee), Frankfurt (Mousonturm), Stockholm (Dansmuseet) and at the Diaghilev Festival in Perm, Russia. Her arrangement for solo harp of P.I.Tchaikovsky’s “The seasons, Op.37a” was released by Brilliant Classics in 2019.
Moreover, under the pseudonym Sissi Rada she is active in the electronic scene as a singer, producer and lyricist. She has collaborated with Brian Eno, Lee Scratch Perry, Mouse on Mars, David August, Lena Platonos, and Jay Glass Dubs.
