Sid Vaga is a French DJ and producer based in New York City's Lower East Side. Since taking to the decks in 1999, he's brought his infectious blend of House, Afro-Latin, funk, and deep grooves to clubs and festivals across the globe—from Berlin to Colombia, Morocco to Miami. Raised in Paris, Sid soaked up sounds from his older brother’s record collection: fusion jazz, disco-funk, Afrobeat, Brazilian, Latin and early Hip Hop. It shaped his ear for rhythm and texture—where even silence or vinyl crackle becomes part of the groove. That early curiosity turned into a passion for moving dancefloors with soulful, percussive, and genre-blurring sets. Sid’s vibe has lit up EXIT Festival's Urban Bug Stage in Serbia, Châlet in Berlin, We Love Summer in Morocco, and a closing set at BPM Festival in Mexico. In NYC, he’s left his mark on iconic venues like Cielo, Le Bain, Pacha, Panther Room, and LOVE. A long-standing Turntables on the Hudson DJ and resident of the Six Degrees parties for over a decade, Sid’s driving force contributed in shaping the globally inspired sound that helped define a generation of New York nightlife. He’s shared stages with the likes of Roy Davis Jr., DJ Spinna, Nickodemus, Peter Kruder, and Funk D’Void, earning respect for his versatility and energy behind the decks. Following a period of personal and creative recalibration, Sid returns with a more refined and mature approach to music. With renewed focus, he's diving deeper into production and embracing the full spectrum of styles that shaped him—bringing a richer, more intentional energy to both his studio work and DJ sets. As a producer, Sid has released original tracks and remixes on respected labels including Kling Klong, King Street, Great Stuff, Unknown Season and Wonderwheel Recordings. Some of his releases have broken into the Beatport Top 10, and has been remixed by established names in the scene.
