The evolution from Shubham Sharma to Shoestepper.music is more than just a stage name, it’s a reflection of my journey, experiences, and life philosophy. I believe in the constant evolution of sound and music theory, pushing the boundaries of Indian electronic music by blending tradition with cutting-edge production. The name “Shoestepper” carries a deep meaning for me. It comes from the idea that you can only truly understand a situation when you step into someone else’s shoes. I’ve lived by this philosophy in both life and music—navigating the highs and lows of the industry, learning from different perspectives, and constantly evolving my artistry. My diverse experiences let me channel different energies and connect with people in a way that goes beyond just playing music - it’s about creating a moment. With over 15 years of performing in front of diverse crowds, my journey has taken me through an eclectic mix of genres. I started as a drummer in my childhood, moved into double bass drumming in metal, picked up guitars and vocals, and eventually found my way into DnB, techno, and house. These experiences fuel my ability to merge energies and create something truly unique. For me, music isn’t just about beats - it’s about innovation, storytelling, and creating an experience.
