Born into a family of musicians, it was no surprise for Shay to follow their footsteps. Her journey begun with a dream to be a classical music conductor and opera singer, but her inner passions drove her to attend DJ School in 2006, then traveling across Italy and Holland to DJ and work with some of the Hardstyle’s biggest labels & artists - SAIFAM (Italy) and Scantraxx (Holland). Shay’s vocals can be found in a number of Hardstyle tracks: • TNT - ‘OMG’ (DirtyWorkz) • Techno & Prophet feat. Shayla - ‘’PSYCHO X” (Scantraxx) • The Prophet feat. Shayla ‘Oh My God” (Titanic Records - SAIFAM) Over time, her taste became darker, grittier, and focused on pure banging techno. Fast forward to 2023 - Shay has completed a scholarship in Modular Synthesis. Focusing her performances on 100% Hardware Only [Fully - Improvised] sets as half of VPSD Live. (Joined project with VØIDPILOT) In addition, Shay recently joined events & podcast collective OCTANE as a resident artist and organiser; and recently as a Co-Founder of OCTANE Records. Since moving to Australia from Berlin, Shay has delivered standout performances at events such as: •IWTFA pres.
