Shake Daddy’s (Kyra Shaikh) roots are scattered between Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Sydney. Her early childhood was spent in the industrial of Hong Kong island. Later on, she moved to Melbourne and now resides in Sydney, Australia. She’s recently debuting her EP Roots via Supermercado Records. Shake Daddy has been DJing at popular Melbourne institutions for some time and working tirelessly in the background honing her production skills. Her EP, with more than a nod to Detroit House, is the most mature debut EP conceivable with production quality, soulfulness, and groove more reminiscent of established veterans such as Moodyman and Omar S than a recently debuted artist.
