Shadeda is an Oxford-born and Manchester-based DJ, radio host and aspiring dot-connector. From his background in jazz piano starting age 9, Shade developed an affinity for soul-centred dance music spanning broadly across afro-latin and jazz spectrums. Through his gigs, residencies on Balamii & Steam Radio, and own event @elody.mcr, Shade’s selections have adorned music scenes across Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, and London, Supporting the likes of K.O.G., Alexander Nut, Wookie, and esteemed Manchester DJ, Irfan Rainy. Through his sets, Shadeda endeavours to open ears to new perceptions of what ‘club music’ can be and revitalise a new movement of dancefloor jazz amongst younger generations. He is no stranger to an extended set, favouring the journey and exploration of dancer-DJ symbiosis, and the true artistry of DJing soulful underground dance music.
