Sevyn began their discovery of their passion at an early age accompanied by them spending quality time listening to their parents' collection of Go-Go, Baltimore club, and Jersey club music. Sevyn's inspiration comes from artists such as K-HAND, Ladymonixx, Kerry Chandler, Paul Johnson, Kai Alce, Ron Trent, and Waajeed. While Sevyn's calling for live instrumentation and musical arrangement was thriving, they would unanticipatedly embark on a new journey into the world of DJ'ing and music production. Upon establishing their name and footprint in musical spaces, Sevyn accelerated into the next phase of their passion, by expanding into the LA community of Black artists. Sevyn joined LA-based independent music label Salon Recordings and birthed "FLUID Sounds" in 2022. Sevyn created FLUID to serve as a creative production agency focused on magnifying the work and voices of Black non-binary, masc presenting, and trans artists. This endeavor landed FLUID a radio show on one of the city's leading stations, Dublab (FLUID Radio).
