ABOUT Austrian based Producer and DJ Severin Su’s career reflects a transdisciplinary approach with a versatile background and collaborative curiosity. His musical journey began in Banja Luka, Bosnia, with a classic music education at regional a music school. Here he played piano and developed his vocal skills. At the same time, he also worked at his father’s recording studio where he perfected the technical skills for complex compositions and also experimented with both live instruments and his voice. Severin’s most recent works are sound design projects that create spherical sound impressions in architectural spaces through collaborations with renowned and innovative architecture and design offices such as INNOCAD and 13&9 for projects displayed at the 15th International Architecture Biennale in Venice as well as at Architektur Galerie Berlin. After many years of experimenting with different electronic music genres, Severin began to release his own music in 2015 on various labels including "Be One Records" and "Exotic Refreshment." Released EP’s quickly climbed up the charts and were also supported by many prominent names in the music and radio industries. Because he transitions different genres, his tracks expand stylistic boundaries in electronic music, which allows him to shift from Electronica, Deep and Tech House, to more melodic Techno. His innate sense of strong rhythmical grooves as well as melodic impacts encourages movement that are the direct results from his early cultural interests: dance, world music and authentic lifestyle. In sound design projects, Severin’s compositions take an architectural approach with a holistic vision of the atmosphere and translation of the space into sound. An upcoming project is sound designs for A Solar Exhibition Center in Dubai in collaboration with INNOCAD Architecture. Currently, Severin Su is working on new EP releases as well as developing live set performances which combines different hardware and software gear.
